|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Directions: From Bellwood take Hwy. 40 southwest and go two or three miles. Look for a sign "Broxson Road" on the right. Almost directly across the highway from Broxson Road is a dirt road. There is a metal gate with a padlock on it. However, someone is cutting the timber and has built a road just to the left of the gate. Follow this road for about a hundred yards and you will come to a patch of woods. The cemetery is located in this patch of woods. Or, go past the metal gate to the first dirt road on the left (East). Follow this road to the cemetery. This is a beautiful setting, over looking a valley. There is a fence around the cemetery. It appears to have a lot of unmarked graves as the few with head stones takes up only a fraction of the cemetery. Tommie Byrd told me the first burials were American Indians, next were Blacks and last were White. GPS location..N.31oO8.813, W. 085o49.077', Elev. 192 ft.
