Cemetery notes and/or description:
This cemetery is located in the northwest quadrant of Red River County, Texas. This cemetery is located behind the Red River Valley Mennonite Church 2.6 miles east of Detroit on FM 2573 on the south side of the road. The oldest burial is that of Jerry Dean Yost who died on 28 Sep 1985. It was surveyed by Lawrence and Sue Dale on 21 Mar 1997. As a check on missed obituaries, we re-walked this cemetery on 3 Sep 2000 on a HOT, 111 degrees, Labor Day weekend. We visited the site again on 21 Dec 2003 and took the GPS readings. We also did a re-walk of the cemetery adding new burials and noting marker changes. As of 31 Dec 2004 this cemetery had 11 documented burials. We visited again on 16 Dec 2010 checking for updates and photographing all markers. There were no additional burials.
