|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The origins of this estate date back to the mid-1650s or so. Some of the folks known to be buried in this cemetery date back to the early 1800s and include members of the Barnes, Mitchell and Watts families. It is evident that there are more in unmarked graves. The estate has changed hands several times over it's life but its sale in 1872 to William Dows specified that the family cemetery was not included. The size was given as one half-acre. Which in turn could mean that there are a lot of unmarked graves in the cemetery or very near it.
The cemetery is not close to the house and like the entire estate, it is on private property.
