|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
From Wadesboro, N.C. take Highway 109 North. Turn right on Kirby Road. Go 1 1/2 miles. This will be a dirt road. The dirt will end and turn into pavement. Go around a curve to the right. Cemetery will be down a dirt drive to the left in the woods. There is a sign that just says cemetery.
Note: There are several small graves in the edge of the woods beside the cemetery marked with rocks but left out of the cleared cemetery.
Note: This is named Colson-Kirby Cemetery but on all death certificates it is called Colson Cemetery. The first grave here is that of James Martin and the next oldest graves are the ones of the Houghs and Waddiles.
