Prince George's County
|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Located on St. Philip's Road off Route 381 in Aquasco. The original church was built in 1880 by St. Paul's in Baden, Maryland. It was the first "colored" church and cemetery that was built outside the cities in the Diocese of Maryland.
In November of 1976, the church burned and under the direction of the Diocese, the insurance money was used to buy a former Roman Catholic Church (St. Michael's) on Baden-Westwood Rd. The old cemetery is fenced in with a bell tower. There are many stones that can't be read or not marked within this cemetery.
