Cemetery notes and/or description:
The original Greenwood cemetery is now part of Woodlawn Cemetery next door to the East. A new Greenwood (this one) cemetery was started immediately adjacent to Woodlawn to the West (both cemeteries abut each other down an imaginary line). A lot of cemetery records were lost in a fire in the early 1900's (per the City of Ocala Real estate department). So your family may be there, we just don't know where.
PLEASE be careful when adding names to this cemetery as there is another Greenwood Cemetery in Marion County down in Wiersdale. |
