|Lower Brushy Fork of Johns Creek|
|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This cemetery is located behind the Apple Orchard Church in Pike County, Kentucky. The church and graveyard were established in 1858 and are part of the Old Regular Baptist Association. The church and cemetery are located on Brushy Road, about five to seven miles from route 194, along some very winding roads with dangerous drop offs. The cemetery is in excellent condition, considering is is located on a rather isolated mountain side. When visiting the graveyard in the spring and summer, people should be aware that there are a variety of animals in the region, including snakes (poisonous and non) and many types of insects that sting. Caution should be used and as the cemetery is surrounded by trees, visitors should be sure to check their heads for ticks after leaving. There are no public restrooms in the area for around 10-15 miles.
