|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
From Oakland, the intersection of U. S Highway 51 and State Highway 32, go north on 51 for 1.0 mile. Turn left at Parrish Grove M. B. Church onto County Road 23. Go west for 0.5 mile then turn right to cemetery. Left side of the road is the white section.
This cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in the county and is listed in the Mississippi Register of Historic Places. It was originally called Henderson and was used by residents of the town of Oakland before Oakland Cemetery was established. In recent years it has been used mainly by members of the Parrish Grove M. B. Church and they now call it Parrish Grove Cemetery. This cemetery was recorded originally by Mary Donaldson and Fannie Sayle. It was updated by Sara and Thomas Holland on March 22, 1999 and Mike Worsham on May 3, 2000.
