One acre of land off the NE quarter of the SE quarter of Section 24 Township No 7 Range 10 [Blooming Grove] The line to commence one rod south of the North Line of said piece of land on the line of one Shaffer's land running thence West sixteen rods thence South ten rods thence East to Shaffer's land containing one acre more of less .. to be used for the use of church and Burial ground.
This is the site that eventually became known as the "Hope Church". The church was discontinued in April of 1920. In 1924, the building and horse sheds were torn down and the lumber sold. The bell was purchased by Irvin Witte and is now in the tower of the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church in Cottage Grove.
