"Not Gone" by Jimmy Johnson - 1998
"You are not gone, not really . . . We have marked your resting place; a stone stands where you sleep . . . and we come to it on occasion to remember what made you, you.
. . . the exacting power of the present . . . tells us that you are not gone, not really, and we are, after all that has passed, still one."
Susan Haldeman put the majority of these memorials on Find A Grave. She asked me to take them over. Susan, thank you for all your work. ~ There is a book about the people buried at Owensburg Cemetery and my husband, Morris Lee Hudson who was on the cemetery board for 20 years, was the inspiration for the work that I did on the book. Morris saved obituaries for many years and that is where the idea came from. - Contact the Owensburg Cemetery Association regarding obtaining a copy of the book - Sandra (Grissom) Hudson
