Cemetery notes and/or description:
The cemetery is located adjacent to St. Peter’s Catholic Church. The City acquired Greenwood Cemetery on November 8, 1924. One hundred and one acres were purchased at that time for a cemetery. There are various sized lots in Greenwood including single grave, two-grave, four-grave, and eight-grave as well as odd-sized lots. A section for American Legion #39 Veterans is located at this cemetery; however, spaces are very limited for future burials. |
