|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
"The Little Graveyard at Whitehall" - This is the private burial-place of the Whitfield family owning most of the property in the vicinity. The graves of Capt. William Whitfield II and Rachel Bryan Whitfield are located within fifty feet of the Neuse River. The town of Seven Springs was first incorporated in 1851 as White Hall, but the post office was Jericho as there already was a White Hall post office in North Carolina. The name was changed from White Hall to Seven Springs sometime during the 1880s.
