New York USA
|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Location of the burial ground is in a field behind
a home amid an area of overgrown brush and trees. 16 markers were found most either broken or illegible.
In the 1960s when New York was preparing for highway traffic for Expo 67 (World's Fair to be held in Montreal, Canada, just across the border) a great deal of highway work was done in Clinton County. Salmon River Road Graveyard was a victim. A number of stones were removed. The cemetery, though appearing to be far smaller than it is, still exists.
