Cemetery notes and/or description: This cemetery is known as the Old Honesdale Cemetery or erroneously AKA Old Methodist Cemetery. It stood near a Methodist church but has always been the property of the borough. The cemetery is at the end of Chapel Street. Chapel runs from Main to Ridge Street and the old church (now an apartment building) can still be seen on the right at the corner of Ridge, and the cemetery is farther up the hill. Quite a few bodies were moved to the newer Glen Dyberry Cemetery when it opened in 1860.
