This cemetery is completely south of 12th Street. North of 12th Street is Marseilles Cemetery.
Pinewood Cemetery on US 29 (Ave E) in West Point, GA. There are over 1,100 graves here. The Fort Tyler Cemetery is part of this cemetery
Also located in Pinewood Cemetery is the Old Jewish Cemetery section is on top of the hill overlooking the highway, on the opposite end from the cemeteryıs historic markers. A monument memorializes Louis Merz, who was killed fighting for the Confederacy. The congregation (Temple Beth-El) was located in Lanett, Alabama.
From the square, drive west.south west on Vernon Rd/West Point Rd 15.4 mi. The cemetery is on the left just after the Marseilles Cemetery. Turn left on to 12th St. The cemetery is on your right
The Pinewood Cemetery and the Marseilles Cemetery are almost co-located. Both front on US 29/West Point Rd. It appears that 12th Street separates the two. Pinewood cemetery generally contains older graves, while the Marseilles appears newer.
