This cemetery is situated on the road leading from Dodsonville to Lynchburg. It is also know as the Lutheran Cemetery; a Lutheran Church, now gone, formerly stood on the site. On Sept. 26, 1843, in Original book 17, Page 229, Highland County, Deed Records, Daniel SHAFER and Sarah his wife conveyed 114 poles to Eli SHAFER and Isaac SHAFER, Trustees of the Ev. Lutheran Church of Dodsonville.
