Cemetery notes and/or description:
The Parish Cemetery (cmentarz parafialny) in Chrzanów (Małopolska Province, near Cracow, POLAND) is the main cemetery of the city founded in the late 18th century. It has a number of interesting historical graves from 19th and 20th c. The most important is the Loewenfeld Family Mausoleum in which vault members of the former owners of the town (until 1939) are buried. The mausoleum was built in 1898-1900. Another interesting grave is that of an Italian lieutenant Elia Marchetti who fell in the 1863 uprising fighting for Poland's independence against the Russians. Mortally wounded in a battle he died in Chrzanów and was buried in the local cemetery.
