|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Littlejohn Meetinghouse was established in 1775 on land given by Rev. Abram Littlejohn (1741-1836). According to the historical marker on the cemetery grounds, a Methodist Church was established here in 1789. The cemetery itself is over 200 years old. The earliest grave markers were field stones. One of the earliest carved stones reads 1796. The cemetery is still in use today and surrounds the church on three sides. The cemetery at Littlejohn dates back to 1778 and includes many graves of founding families in the community. The church website includes a history of the church which began in the 1770s as a meeting house for several denominations.
