The Finnish name for this cemetery is: Vuorentaan hautausmaa, Hämeenlinna (Tavastehus).
Vuorentaka cemetery was established 1971, near Central Hospital of Kanta-Häme in former Vuorentaka village. Apart from departments for casket burials, there is an area for urn burials and a memorial grove, where ashes are buried without the urn.
In Vuorentaka Cemetery there's also a graveyard for orthodox burials and another area for other religious groups' burials. The most recent part of the cemetery, Tuokkola area, was taken into use 1995.
The cemetery chapel that was built 1971 has a large and small chapel and a crematorium that services the whole Häme province.
