Location: US Hwy 17 North, go 8.3 miles and turn left on Churchill Rd. Go 3.1 miles, turn right across from the Landfill office and go 0.1 mile.
History: William W. Churchill, native of England, was a planter in McIntosh County in 1850. Churchill's plantation was in the area in which the Cemetery is located. His daughter, Editha, married William A. Wilcox of Liberty County. In 1870 both families were living in Darien. Churchill and Wilcox were merchants on Broad Street. The Cemetery may have begun as a slave graveyard, but the earliest marked burial was in 1889 so it may have been given to them when Churchill sold the property after the Civil War.
The Cemetery is divided into five sections. Recording began in the southeast corner. Rows are from Access Rd. to the outer perimeters. Grave numbers are from South to North.
