Barwick Cemetery, Norristown, Emanuel Co, GA
Cemetery - Located 3/5 of a mile from Norristown, Emanuel CO, GA. At intersection of GA221 and Covena RD travel East.
The cemetery is in a field on the left side of the road. The field has a hot wire fence and the cemetery is enclosed by a chain link fence.
Located on the old Nathan Barwick Plantation and was started in 1818 when Nathan's father-in-law William Whiddon died was the first to be buried here. His grave is outside the chain link fence under an oak tree and is marked with a concrete marker that says, "William Whiddon and Wife". This type marker is also used on the grave of Nathan and Elizabeth Whiddon Barwick and inscribed with Nathan Barwick and Wife".
