This Cemetery is on the SW Corner of US Highway 74 Wadesboro West @ Anson High School Rd . It can be seen by all who pass through or are stopped @ the Traffic Light west bound on US 74 or on Anson High School Rd.
US 74 is The Andrew Jackson Highway.
Anson High School Rd is NC SR1259
The Cemetery is Described in "Confederate Colonels" By Bruce S. Allardice found on Google Search. There is no Sign to Identify it.
Cemetery was previously referred to as Col RT Bennett Graveyard: In Honor of Risden Tyler Bennett North Carolina Superior State Court Judge then he was elected to Represent North Carolina in the United States House of Representatives. Representative Bennett served in the CSA and rose to the Rank of Col. He was wounded 3 times including the Battle of Gettysburg.
Prominent members of the Bennett Family and Little Family of Wadesboro & Anson County are buried here. It is well kept with a Fence enclosure but there is no sign to identify it. The Plots are surrounded by Large Magnolia Trees ( thus it was named Magnolia Summitt Cemetery) Cemetery cannot be seen from Anson High School which is located right behind due to foliage.
This Cemetery has the Descendants of William Little &
Elizabeth "Betsy" STEELE who are buried in the William Little Cemetery and Descendants of William N Bennett and Susannah Dunn who are buried in the William N Bennett Cemetery.
Along with The Bennett Family and Little Family there are members of the Covington , Forte ,Henley , Porter and Rice Families buried here.
