|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
A tract of land was acquired on the north end of West Street and the Lutheran and Reformed congregations built their Union Church in 1833. In the same location they created a burial ground for their members. Mrs. Spangler called this the Madisonburg Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery.
The congregations separated in 1880 with the Reformed congregation building their own church on North Main Street. Land was then acquired on West Street to establish their own cemetery, now the UCC Cemetery. Both of these cemeteries are administered by a joint UCC - Lutheran Cemetery Association.
Directions: Turn onto West Street from Route 192. This is the third cemetery on the left.
