Mount Carmel is the oldest Catholic Cemetery in Toledo, originally known as Saint Mary and Saint Francis de Sales Cemetery. In the 1930s revisions were made, including the addition of 30-40 acres of ground space and a beautiful new grotto. It was then renamed and consecrated Mount Carmel Cemetery on Nov 01, 1936.
