Gum Springs cemetery is located at the intersection of Booth Road & Hwy 267 south of Searcy just outside the city limits. It is one of the oldest cemeteries in White County that is still in use. This is the final resting-place for Indian Wars Medal of Honor recipient Joshua Hartzog, Vietnam War hero Capt. Wilbur Dale Latimer, other distinguished veterans of many wars, and some of the areas earliest pioneers.
