Cemetery notes and/or description:
Pine Hill Cemetery is located on the Knox County side (east side) of Corbin. The boundary between Whitley County, Kentucky and Knox County, Kentucky runs roughly along US-25W (Laurel Ave/Skinier St/W Dixie Hwy).

Pine Hill Cemetery was opened around 1900 and served as the primary burial ground for Corbin, Kentucky from 1900 to 1930 with lots of burials continuing into the 1940s and 1950s. Resthaven Cemetery, which is located on the back side of Pine Hill Cemetery, was opened in the late 1920s and was the primary burial ground after Pine Hill Cemetery started to fill. During the early years, Pine Hill was known as Corbin Cemetery since it was the dominant cemetery for the town of Corbin, Kentucky at that time. Later, Pine Hill Cemetery was also known as Pine Grove Cemetery.

Pine Hill Cemetery a large cemetery that is located on a hill at approximately 1096 Master Street at the intersection of Master Street with E Bryant St to the north and N Standard Ave to the south. The main entrance is about halfway between US-25W (Laurel Ave/Skinier St/W Dixie Hwy) to the west and US-25E (Cumberland Gap Pkwy) to the east.

Immediately after entering the front gate of the cemetery you will see vaults directly in front of you. Continue down the paved portion of the road the leads to the left. As you go through the white, metal gate and you will continue to see vaults on the right hand side. Just past the gate, the vaults will stop. Continue forward by going around the right hand bend in the road and up the small hill. At this point Section A is on the left and Section B is on the right. At the next intersection in the road, the road leading to the left is not paved at all and the road to the right is paved for about 3-4 car lengths. This intersection marks the boundary between Section A and Section C on the left, and Section B and Section D on the right. Just past the intersection, Section C begins on the left and Section D begins on the right. The section numbers continue in this manner as you move deeper into the cemetery.
