|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Old Ebenezer Cemetery is located behind the Ebenezer Church but it should not be confused with the cemeteries adjoining the church itself.
Once the railway went through the area vehicular access to the cemetery was virtually cut off. The only way to get to the cemetery nowadays is on foot so be sure to wear sturdy shoes to make the hike.
To get to the cemetery, park at the church and walk down the train tracks to the right. (There is a house closer to the cemetery but it is marked with "no trespassing" signs.) As the tracks curve, there is a large utility tower to the right. The cemetery is located on the left up the embankment.
The earliest marked burials date from the 1820s and the latest about 1936. The cemetery has been virtually unused since that time and has not been maintained.
