Old Chapel Cemetery was formerly in Frederick County, Virginia before March 1836.
Building was originally referred to as "the Chapel at Cunningham's" (Cunningham's being the name of the tavern near the chapel), "Old Chapel," as it is now known, is the oldest Episcopal Church in continuous use west of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The Cunningham Chapel Parish, was about 60 years old when they built the chapel in 1762, and it is the third structure built on this site.
