A Warranty Deed, dated Feb 20, 1882, and filed Feb 27, 1882, shows John W. Hoover, single, deeding to John C. Gaunt, Malcolm McEachern, Edmond Rockhold, B.F. Grove, and John Knisley and
their successors, Trustees of and for Bethany Cemetery, for consideration of $1.00, the following described land: Commencing at SW corner of SW ¼ measure north on ¼ section line 4.47 chains, then east 4.47 chains, then south 4.47 chains, then west to the point of beginning. (A chain is 66')
The oldest legible marker is that of Louis E. Knisley, July 23, 1878, age 5 months, 9 days. |
