The first burial was that of a person named Roberts who died on May 4, 1879.
Richard McMulin and his wife, Aurilla, gave a Warranty Deed dated Jan. 7, 1892, and filed Jan 8, 1892, (Book 64, Page 637) for the following described land to the Austin Cemetery Association: Commence at SE corner of SE ¼ of Sec 15, T31, R2W, in Sumner Co., Kans. Then N 20 rods, then W 32 rods, then S 20 rods, then E 32 rods to place of beginning. This is a 4 acre tract. |
