|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The German Lutheran Emanuel Church trustees purchased 3 acres from the Northern Pacific Railway Company on August 16, 1906 in Section 19 Township 129 North Range 31 West per Deed Record 49. Subsequently, the Cemetery Association members had a certificate prepared for the Plat of Emmanuel Cemetery on September 24, 1927. The certificate was signed September 26, 1927. A plat for Emmanuel Cemetery was prepared and signed on October 22, 1927. The cemetery was described as Part of SE1/4 of SE1/4 Section 19 Township 129 North Range 31 West. The dimensions were 218 feet by 132 feet for 0.66 acre as part of the 3 acres purchased. The property was in Culdrum Township, Morrison County, Minnesota. If the plat outlots are included, then the cemetery is almost one acre in size.
Over the years, the cemetery became locally known as "Culdrum Cemetery" even being named as such on some death certificates.
On March 5, 1951, the German Evangelical Lutheran Immanuels Church (German Lutheran Emanuel Church) trustees conveyed the land to the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery Association. The church held its last annual meeting on May 13, 1951. Then on March 29, 1961, Deed Record 97 transferred the property of the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery Association of Morrison County, a corporation under the laws of the State of Minnesota, to German Evangelical St. Peter Congregation of Swanville, Morrison County, Minnesota. Thus, the church and cemetery became part of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Swanville, Morrison County, Minnesota.
