Cemetery notes and/or description:
The early Groveland settlers chose a little hill for their cemetery. The first recorded burial was in 1899. The little hill where the cemetery is located belonged to a piece of property the United States Government patented to George M. Johnson in 1907. The property changed hands many times before being deeded to Harry Weber in December 1924. In 1936 a Cemetery Maintenance District was formed. In 1939 Harry and Maude Weber deeded the cemetery ground to the Groveland Cemetery Maintenance District. In 1984 additional land was added to the cemetery. |
