|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Rosewood Cemetery is located three and one half miles south of Fairfield WA, and one half mile East of Hwy 27. Sec. 1 T21N R44E. It was established in about 1888 by German Immigrant Farmers. Ferdinand Pagel donated three fourths of the land and Frederick Kienbaum donated one fourth. In later years Henry Treede Jr. donated an addition to the original part. Most of the early burials were of the Lutheran faith and of German or Danish descent. Even today many of the burials are descendants of the early families. Also called Old Lutheran Cemetery & Rosewood Lutheran Cemetery.
