|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The cemetery is private property and has posted No Trespassing signs. The cemetery's gates are open from approximately dawn until dusk. The gates are closed on Saturdays.
This is a Jewish cemetery and only those that have paid for membership in the association are allowed to have a plot space. Earliest records for the cemetery is for a burial in July of 1886. The association itself formed in 1888. As is Jewish tradition, there is a year mourning period after burial, then a headstone is to be placed to honor the individual. Stones are placed on the headstone when family members visit the grave. The upkeep of this cemetery is paid for by the association dues, donations, and other investments. Chevra Kadisha is within the Home of Peace property and can be found on the Lakewood Dr SW side. This cemetery was fully photographed and documented by Find A Grave volunteers as of September 2012.
