(Taken from the History of Grover Hill by Laurence R. Hipp, published in 1971.)
The Pleasantview Cemetery is located five miles south and one-quarter of a mile east of Paulding, Ohio, in the Northwest Quarter of Section 7, Latty Township. Three acres of land at this location was deeded to the township trustees by Elizabeth and Phillip Mines, August 5, 1891, and the deed is recorded in Volume 54, page 99, Paulding County Record of Deeds. This cemetery islocated on the same general tract of land on which the Blue Creek German Baptist Brethren (Dunkard) Church was formerly located. Indications are that the cemetery was established prior to the erection of the church building. The cemetery was known as the Westview Cemetery until about 1916, when the name was changed to Pleasantview. It is located only about three-quarters of a mile east of the former site of the old town of Dague on the Cincinnati Northern Railroad.
