From page 100 of "Pioneer churches and cemeteries of Gillam Township, Jasper County, Indiana" published in 1979 by Zera Hansell Howe:
"Tailholt Cemetery (Davissonville)
This one time small burying plot has long disappeared. In 1850 a Moses Davison platted a small town here, consisting of two blocks, one street and an alley, on the farm known as Thomas Walters, or as the Mrs. W. R. Johnson farm."
Tailholt is a small abandoned cemetery located 3 miles west and 3-1/2 miles south of Medaryville. In the barnyard of the old Thomas Walter's farm in the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter section 33. Tailholt was later changed to Davidsonville, which was layed out by Moses E. and Lewis Davidson. The plot was recorded September 16, 1850.
There is only one tombstone left in this little cemetery.....Henrietta Lewis who died October 1, 1854. All the other tombstones have been destroyed and many thrown down the little hill.
