|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Dimond Cemetery contains 17 burials between 1853 and 1867, then Jesse Dimond in 1880 (no stone found). Most are children of Jesse's daughters. The first grave was Jesse's wife, Susan, who died in 1853 at age 46.
In 1868, Jesse's son-in-law R.A. Hurt sold to J. M. Reason the land containing the cemetery in the W ½ of the NW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 2-20-7, with the Hurts "reserving to themselves ¼ acre contained in the grave yard on the west side…for a public grave yard."
