West Virginia USA
|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This cemetery site is located somewhere in Butler District of Hancock County, West Virginia. The specific location is unknown and cannot be directly pinpointed at this time.
Known History: These grounds once housed a small Episcopalian Church in the later years of Brooke County and into the early years of Hancock County. Adjacent to the church was a small cemetery that was used to bury a a good number of pioneers and their families that lived near the church. It is unknown specifically how many people were laid to rest here. Sadly the church and cemetery are lost forever to time.
There are no found records containing a list of those who were interred there, and unfortunately that may remain a mystery forever considering the age of these grounds.
This listing is a current work in progress. More information to come as it is researched further, organized, and typed. If you know anything about anyone buried in this enigmatic Episcopalian Church Cemetery, please add what you can to this cemetery listing.
