The only writen record of this burial was done by Harriet Cole Bowen for the DAR. She does not record a date of when she did this work, most of the other records for this area were done in 1930's. She wrote:
"In the extreme northeast corner of Section 8, Palmyra, on a farm now owned by Henry Lehman, was a corner devoted to a few family burials. The stones were buried by Mr. Lehman, although reservation of the plot was stted in the deeds given by successive owners, and is so reserved in Mr. Lehman's deed. Only one burial is known as this stone was the only one examined by the parties concerned:
Clark, Walter P., d. Mar. 14, 1847 ae 31y3m12d
There were stone inscriptoins of children but not recorded.
A Walter P. Clark was among the first settlers of Palmyra.
On South Wilmoth Highway near Raisin Center Road
