There were 105 graves that were relocated by the Alabama Power Company from the Truss Family Cemetery to Blooming Light Cemetery, a distance of 2 miles, for the construction of the Logan Martin Dam on the Coosa River (1962). http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~alstclai/cemeteries/Reinterments.htm
The map of the original grave sites at the Truss Family Cemetery (prepared by the Alabama Power Company), indicates that of the 105 graves that were reinterred at Blooming Light Cemetery, 20 were marked. Each of the identified 20 graves have virtual memorials.
Blooming Light Cemetery: northwest quarter of the southeast quarter (NW 1/4 of SE 1/4) of section 9, township 17 south, range 4 east and approximately 2 miles northeast of Cropwell, Alabama, near Dye Creek in St. Clair County, Alabama.
Truss Family Cemetery: southwest quarter of the southwest quarter (SW 1/4 of SW 1/4) of section 3, township 17 south, range 4 east, and approximately 1 mile southeast of Seddon, Alabama, near the Coosa River in St. Clair County, Alabama.
