Described in Old Gravestones of Ulster County, 1931, Dr J Wilson Poucher and Byron J Terwilliger, page 26, These (4) are the only stones of the McKinstry Ground, found scattered around the pasture. They are said to have been many more in this ground, but they have since disapperared. Located about one mile north of Bruynswick on the McKinstry Farm. Copied August 16, 1924. The pin marks the site of some light colored rocks or stones, on the east side of Bruynswick Rd, just south of McKinstry Rd. They lie just north of a small mound in the pasture, and immediately south-east of the foundationds of two silos, which are thought to have belonged to the McKinstry Farm. The exact location of any of the graves is unknown. The Town of Gardiner Historian Kenneth Hasbrouck, states there is a McKinstry Ground on McKinstry Rd. It is unknown if he means a second burial ground, or this one described by Poucher.
