In The Green County Journal - Spring 2011
"This is a grave house that was built in 1885 by Thomas Beams when his wife Caroline died. The purpose of the house was to keep rain from falling on the grave which was a Creek Indian custom."
The article also said there was another grave at the corner of the grave house of Lillian Bale, the granddaughter of Jacob and Rebecca Beams Bale.
This was written about the old grave house - recently the old building was rebuilt as you see it now. (Aug 2012)
