|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Land for the Cemetery deeded on 29 March 1919. Unlike most rural cemeteries, this one was not adjacent to the church. The church is one mile north of the cemetery. For many years the cemetery was neglected as dirt blew over the graves, nearly covering many of the stones and markers, in the dust bowl of the 1930's.
Although many of the graves have been moved to town cemeteries, 13 markers and 17 graves remain.
The cemetery was restored and all the remaining graves marked as a bicentennial project by the Plains Historical Society, assisted by others.
At one time there were 27 graves in the cemetery.
