|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This is the Martin Family Cemetery located on the origianl Parrott Grant. It is now called the Llano Seco and is held by the State of California as a Wildlife Refuge. The original grant extended along the Sacramento River from what is now the Butte Co. and Glenn Co. Boundry north about five miles and easterly from the Sacramento River about four miles to the Aguas Frias Rancho.
W. D. Martin had a ranch on 150 Acres and when 7 individuals went to court about who the Grant actually belonged to he moved to a land grant in Artios leaving his family cemetery behind.
The location of the cemetery is correct in the description but there is no city located there so I chose Artios. It is located in Glenn and Butte Counties in the Upper Butte Basin.
