Cemetery notes and/or description:
The Judkins - Hunt Cemetery is at the corner of Union Road (goes to Route 3) and Hurricane Road (goes out to Route 106 and also Route 140).
From route 3. Union Road intersects east of the bridge that crosses Lake Winnisquam. It is across from Piches Sporting and the Car Wash. Turn South on that road at the stop light and follow it until it intersects Hurricane Rd. about 4 to 5 miles, right by the Corner stone Horse farm.
From route 106 and 140 intersection go north to the stop sign and go straight past the white Catholic Church and up the hill (Church Street). At the top of the hill is the high school and that road becomes Hurricane Road. The numbers decrease and the cemetery is at the end about #1 Hurricane RD on the right.
The largest most beautiful and whitest memorial stone is a tribute to Snyder Wallace. died in 1908 due to an auto accident. grave 22. Synder is a German Shepard. This memorial sticks above the rock wall on Hurricane road. |
