|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
St Thomas of Canterbury, Roman Catholic Church, in Rylston Road Fulham. The nearest tube station is Parson's Green. A toilet en route can be found at Fulham Public Library, just to the west of the first road crossing - open to 8pm Monday to Thursday, to 5pm Friday to Sunday. Catholic cemeteries do not seem to be unduly common. This one is a fairly typical mature site and looks predominantly Edwardian. Being inner-city it is quite highly packed. Only the nature of the inscriptions seems to differentiate it from C. of E. cemeteries of a similar period - the florid monuments common in modern Catholic sections do not appear here. There are a few modern burials from the 1970s, probably in previously purchased family plots. The site seems to be un-documented. Several families, especially those with foreign names, are well represented, as are local convents. There are a number of politicians, especially those born in Ireland, and several military personnel.
