|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The cemetery is located in the Northeast ¼ of the Southwest ¼ of the Southwest ¼ of Section 11 (Block 44, Survey 606, Claim 1262), Township 3 South, Range 8 West in the eastern pan handle of Monroe County. The cemetery is located on private land.
It is #61 on the Monroe county cemetery map. It was indexed in 2002 by Jim, Dianne and Michael Mertz, Ryan Gruber and Josh Huntley. They compiled a list of burials from in situ gravestones. In addition, they inventoried three rock cairns marking probable graves, five rough stone and/or cut stone markers indicating possible graves, and 45 grave-shaped and sized depressions indicating possible graves. These features and the gravestones are in a 1 to 2-acre area.
The name "Null Cemetery" was used because the main feature is a fully enclosing brick wall around the two Null (Henry and Sarah) gravestones. A notable characteristic of the cemetery is that only the Null gravestones are in English; the remainder are in German.
