From an article in the Clermont Sun Newspaper November 14, 1882, not all inscriptions were legible and the ones copied would bring memories of other days to many of their readers. It does not say that these were all the inscriptions, but it's thought that it was the majority. The notes on some of the people were included in the material to help the 1882 reader to remember and place the people. This cemetery has since been abandoned to livestock. (Monument Inscriptions prior to 1900 from Cemeteries in Clermont County, Ohio; 1952)

To get to the cemetery, take Ohio State Route 222 (South Riverside Drive) south out of the Village of Batavia and turn right onto Old State Route 222 (Old Riverside Drive), which will be the first right (west) outside of the village. The cemetery is on an embankment several feet above the roadway on the left (east) side of the road among trees just past the first driveway on the left (east) side of the road.

The cemetery is located in Batavia Township, Clermont County, Ohio, and is # 1764 (Moore Cemetery) in "Ohio Cemeteries 1803-2003", compiled by the Ohio Genealogical Society.
