Holly Hill Cemetery Went through A Series of Names:
ALSO earliest Burial Found Marked is in 1862
1st.BACKFIELD CEMETERY-I'm assuming before Cemetery actually had been named this is how they label the burial grounds or the Census Takers in the 1970's of cemetery did not know the name of it so they labeled it as such. The Old Cemetery listing I found at Library listed it as Backfield Cemetery.
2d.VAUGHN CEMETERY-By 1924 I found a Death Certificate Stating the Cemetery was Vaughn Cemetery.
3d.MILLER CEMETERY-By 1927 I found a Death Certificate Stating the Cemetery name was Miller Cemetery.
4d.VAUGHN-MILLER CEMATERY-by 1938 I found a Death Certificate Stating the Cemetery was Vaughn Cemetery again.
5th.HOLLY HILL CEMETERY-by 1957 I found a Death Certificate Stating the Cemetery name was Holly Hill Cemetery.
(There has been a new Inventory done for Hardy County Cemeteries.,But Library isnt ready for it to be released yet.)It will be posted in Newspaper.
Located Almost Directly on the Big Hill back of the residence of Elam Combs in the Kimsey Run Area, but is reached by either of the two roads leading to it going off the road leading to the Wilt Place.Census Taken in the late 1970's.Should be updated after release of new CD.
I will assume for now it will still be called Holly Hill Cemetery on New Material coming out.
I tried to google Holly Hill Cemetery to get a more accurate address, but found nothing under it's Name.
