COBB CEMETERY – Located in NE 1/2 of SE 1/4 of Section 24; Town 19 North Range 11 West, Ellsworth Township, Lake County, Michigan. Street location can be described as being on the North West corner of the township line road between LeRoy Township, Osceola County and Ellsworth Township, Lake County. Approximately one-eighth of a mile north of Old M-63 sometimes referred to as the LeRoy-Luther Road. The Cobb family originally owned two farms across from each other, one on the east side of the road in one township and the other on the west side of the street in the other township. The cemetery actually was on the front portion of the Nathan A. and Naomi Byam Cobb farm. Located still on private property, there were still about 8 headstones in some disarray in September 2003. It can no longer be seen from the road and is accessible, with and by permission of the owners. There was no fence in the year 2003. NOTE: I have created the site for this abandoned cemetery in honor of a descendant of these people who was my cousin. Adrian Dagen was at this cemetery with the owner of the property in the year 2000.
